Samsung's new digital camera, DIGIMAX S1000 is one of my new favorites. For amateur photographers looking for Facebook-style photos, this one requires no focusing. Ahead of its class, the DIGIMAX S1000 comes with a 10.1 mega pixel image. It also offers a customizable "color effect", "highlight" and "photo frame" feature. This is a great camera for the MySpace, Facebook, backyard photographer who is somewhat knowledgeable in digital photography.
Toshiba is a working man's camera. While not as sophisticated as the Samsung's 10.1 megapixel model, the Toshiba cameras are remarkably easy to use. And for some reason these cameras have excellent memory capacity with the ability to increase that through a plug-in-play SD card. They're not as sophisticated as Sony's - but user friendly.
Sony has cornered the market on mid-tier, fantastic cameras. They are not only user-friendly, but normally carry many good features. The Sony Cybershot DSC-T10 is a fantastic 7.2 mega-pixel camera. Sony knows that 7.2 mega-pixels look great on Facebook, in 4x6's and e-mailed on mobile phones. 10.1 is often not necessary. The DSC-T10 does come with a memory stick like the Toshiba model - but people who like the Toshiba model will find the Sony to be quite technical. It's many features and large instruction manual could be cumbersome to many.

At a family event just a few weeks after I had got a hold of my first digital digicam, one of my family member adored it, but as well cautioned that there would be a period where digital cameras would end up superseded by another, more advantageous technology. Maybe you think that this might sound rational. In any case, the photographic field has had to deal with quite a few changes prior to now. It may be irrational to think that the invention of the digital digicam would bring the end of that history of transformation.
Of course, regardless of this history of modifications, I do believe digicams are here to remain. By that, What i m saying is that film-based cameras will in a gradual pace wither out of use, fully switched by digital cameras, and that the digital cameras in everyday use will never be superseded by a non-digital style
