Before making the leap to the D90 I researched this and other cameras for several weeks. I actually wanted the more expensive D300 because of the magnesium body and weatherproofing, but ultimately decided that it was out of my price range..

I would prefer buying the Nikkor 12 to 24mm as this is the ideal lens to capture the entire scenery and not just the portion and making a really nice effects.
